Please see the blog post with regards concerts after the pandemic. All concerts at St Mary’s will be limited to one hour in duration, and limited to 100 people at each concert. Face masks are now no longer mandatory, but optional, in line with new government guidelines. No refreshments will be provided until further notice. These measures are put in place in order to safeguard everybody, and are a condition of entry to the concert.
Described by The Times as “Britain’s most musical family” we are delighted to be able to welcome 5 siblings of the incredibly talented Kanneh-Mason family to St. Mary’s. One of the last concerts we were able to stage back in 2019 was with the fantastic Sheku and Iasata Kanneh-Mason. During the pandemic, the 7 Kanneh-Mason family have performed regularly on Facebook, appeared on the BBC’s “Strictly” show (which was watched by over 10 million viewers), live streamed from the Barbican, and also given performances outside their house in Nottingham!
This evening’s concert will feature Braimah, Konya, Jeneba, Aminata and Mariatu, playing separately and together. The programme for the concert is:
Grieg Sonata no 3 – 1st Mvt – Braimah/Konya
Bartok – Suite for Piano Op.14 Op.14 – Konya
Mendelssohn Piano Trio no 1 – 2nd Mvt – Jeneba/Aminata/Mariatu
