The Lamberhurst Music Festival Carol Service is often described as “the start of Christmas” and a full church, well-known carols and lovely singing all help to create a warm Christmas feeling. This year we have invited the renowned Pembroke College, Cambridge choir to sing for us.
The Chapel Choir at Pembroke is formed around 24 singers and is directed by Luke Fitzgerald. It has one of the most exciting and varied ranges of choral endeavours among Oxbridge colleges and this is reflected in their appearance at the Proms in 2025 when they were the first ever choir to perform throughout the night: the “dark through dawn” concert started at 11.00pm and they finished singing at the following morning. The critics were most impressed and, by all accounts, the quality of the singing was as good when they finished as when they began!
 The service is almost always sold out so please buy your tickets early to avoid disappointment!
